(BCN) — Oakland police assured they will provide extra staffing on Election Night to facilitate people’s rights to peaceful gatherings and address any crime-related incidents. The police department said in a statement Sunday that it is coordinating with its law enforcement partners on Tuesday to provide added support, enabling a regional response if needed.
Voters are encouraged to plan their routes ahead of time, report any suspicious activity they might see, and engage respectfully with others.
