(NEXSTAR) – Liana Mutia, is hoping to not only qualify for the para judo “Totally blind” category in the Paris Paralympics this summer, but she wants to win a gold medal.

“If I decide I want something, I will go get it.” Mutia said during the U.S. Olympic Media Summit in April.

The 25-year-old from Raleigh, North Carolina is an Olympian who loves to code. She landed a job working as a coder in the tech industry.

“I’m very meticulous about my schedule. I work about 80 hours a week,” Mutia said.

Mutia competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and established herself as a medal contender for the Paris Games after winning back-to-back bronze medals in world competitions.

“My modus operandi is based on TDD, Test-driven development, where I’m basically every single match I’ve won, I won it six months ago. I won it a year ago. Everything’s all planned out,” Mutia said.

Mutia loves to sleep, eat and read in her spare time. She also has a very specific idea of what her dream day would be.

“My happy place would be if I were to be in a cat café doing yoga while eating sushi.”

Mutia is currently ranked number 2 in her category in the Paralympics rankings.
