VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A 69-year-old woman who was facing a felony charge for allegedly threatening to blow up a convenience store in Virginia Beach was found not guilty by reason of insanity
In July 2019 the city’s fire department said Carolyn Cagnolatti Ghavam, of Chesapeake, was arrested in Suffolk in connection with this case.
Her arrest came after fire investigators responded to a reported bomb threat at a Speedway in the 4400 block of Princess Anne Road on July 7, a news release stated.
A trial by judge with witness in late January 2021 concluded with a ruling of not guilty by reason on insanity on a charge of threatening to bomb or burn and a felony charge of failure to appear was nolle presequi, or withdrawn.
