NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk police say two men shot to death in Fairmont Park area of the city were both likely struck in the same Tuesday night shooting, despite being found hours apart.
Police were first called to the area around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday and found 39-year-old Percell Williams in the 2100 block of Bellevue Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
And then hours later just before 6:45 a.m. police were notified about another 39-year-old man found with multiple gunshot wounds nearby in the 2900 block of Bapaume Avenue.
Kenny Williams was also pronounced dead. Officers clarified the victims are not family members.
No suspect information information has been released in the shooting, but police ask anyone with information to call the Crime Line.
The incident was the third major violent incident in Norfolk across a 12-hour period from Tuesday to Wednesday.
A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries in a shooting on Wolcott Avenue, in the Norview area, around 8 p.m.
The violent Tuesday night in Norfolk included a stabbing in the Ocean View area of the city that left one man dead. Police arrested a suspect.
