DARE COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) – 911 services impacted on Hatteras Island in Dare County Monday have been restored.
Dare County Emergency Management sent out a tweet at 2:21 p.m. Monday, saying that the island had 911 impacts reported.
A fiber cable in Nags Head was damaged during road work, which knocked out cell phones, landlines and internet service in the area of the Oregon Inlet Bridge.
The most recent update from Dare County EM said most services have been restored, but some internet services is still being repaired south of the Oregon Inlet Bridge.
