TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Applebee’s will be selling an additional 1,000 of its Date Night Passes via a random drawing on Valentine’s Day in response to the overwhelming demand, a company spokesperson said in a statement to WFLA.com.
The $200 Date Night Pass allows customers to get up to $30 in free food once per week for a year, or 52 times, for a value of up to $1,500.
The pass can be redeemed at Applebee’s locations nationwide, except for 16 stores.
Those who would like to enter for a chance to purchase one of the additional 1,000 passes should sign up via the Applebee’s Website between Feb. 5 and Feb. 9.
The winners will be selected and notified on Valentine’s Day with details on how to complete their purchase.
The initial Date Night Pass offering sold out in less than one minute to guests in 40 states, the spokesperson said. The demand was so high that the restaurant’s website temporarily crashed when the passes went up for sale.
