(KTLA) – Panda Express is celebrating the return of a menu item first offered in 2020.

Beginning on Valentine’s Day, Firecracker Shrimp will be available for a limited time at participating restaurants nationwide. Panda Express originally introduced the Firecracker Shrimp to customers in 2020.

To celebrate the item’s return, the Chinese-inspired fast-food chain will host a unique culinary event at two of its restaurants — one in Los Angeles and another in New York City — so guests can “enjoy a one-of-a-kind dinner experience, designed to spark conversations and meaningful connections at the table over delicious food and great company,” according to a news release.

Guests will be treated to a five-course prix fixe menu, which will include Mongolian beef sandwiches, Firecracker Shrimp served with quinoa brown fried rice, an eggplant tofu side, and ‘Tea’ramisu cake for dessert.

The events will be held on Feb. 13 and 14 in Los Angeles and on Feb. 16 and 17 in New York City. Those interested in attending can make reservations online while bookings are still available. The cost is $38 per person.

“Through this pop-up dining event, we’re thrilled to offer our guests an exclusive shared experience that will be sure to fire up connections over good food and good fun,” Fabiola Del Rio, vice president of Integrated Marketing Communications at Panda Express, said in a statement.

For those who can’t attend the event, Panda Express will also be offering rewards members “the opportunity to redeem one free small entree of Firecracker Shrimp with a purchase of a 2-item plate, from Feb. 19 through March 3, 2024, or while supplies last,” according to the release.
