As we head into the weekend, we’ll see a mild day Saturday with a chance of a few showers. I don’t anticipate an all day rain, but they’ll be some scattered showers around from time to time, especially in the afternoon. Rain chances are around 30-40%. Temperatures will be very nice, with highs in the mid to upper 60s! Enjoy, because rain will bring some cooler temperatures for the second half of the weekend.
Sunday is the rainy day, with shower chances increasing through the morning. Some showers will be occuring at daybreak, with increasing rain chances through the morning. By midday, most of us with perhaps the exception of the OBX can expect rain to be falling. This rain will linger into the afternoon, before tapering off in the evening. Expect rainfall totals for Sunday to be around 0.50″ to 1.00″ of rain. Locally more is possible in a few spots.
As we go into the work week, we’ll be tracking another system which will bring in rain by the afternoon Monday into Monday night. Just like Sunday, this looks like a widespread rain chance with a soaking 0.75″ to 1″ of rain once again. With the dry conditions recently, flooding isn’t a huge concern, but some ponding of water could happen Monday night into Tuesday.
The rest of the week looks cool, with temperatures in the upper 40s and low 50s. Rain chances should remain low until next weekend.
Hope you have a great weekend!
