BRISTOW, Va. (DC News Now) — The Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) said a school bus was involved in a crash in Bristow on Wednesday afternoon.

In a post on the platform X, formerly Twitter, around 3:05 p.m., PWCPD said that officers were at the area of Devlin Road and University Drive for the crash.

Images from the scene showed the tree fell on the front of the bus, crushing it. As of 4 p.m., fire and police crews had removed the tree from the bus.

No students were on the bus at the time of the crash, but the driver was taken to the hospital for treatment.
