HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Starting on Saturday, the S. Mallory Street on-ramp will be temporarily closed as a part of the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel (HRBT) Expansion Project.
The closure will be in effect starting at 9 p.m. June 29 until 9 p.m. June 30, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
Construction work will take place on the ramp to allow for paving. During this temporary closure, all traffic, including emergency vehicles, should detour to the Settlers Landing Road on-ramp to access I-64 east.
Directions for the detour can be found below:
- From S. Mallory Street, take I-64 west to Exit 267 Woodland Road.
- Turn left onto Settlers Landing Road
- Take the next left for I-64 east
Drivers are urged to use caution when driving in this area. All construction schedules are subjected to change due to the impending weather or other unexpected circumstances.
