WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — Williamsburg is celebrating the new police station by hosting a Williamsburg Police Station Beam Signing Ceremony on Friday.

The ceremony included remarks from Mayor Douglas Pons, Police Chief Sean Dunn and Citizen Advisory Committee Chair Malika Blume.

The new 43,400-square-foot station is slated to open in its new location, 715 Lafayette St., in the fall of 2025. The old station on Armistead Avenue will be demolished once the department moves into its new location.
