PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Hunger Action Month is underway. Food insecurity is a major issue for many Virginians including those living in Hampton Roads. The Federation of Virginia Foodbanks works on behalf of all seven foodbanks in the Commonwealth. The Federation of Virginia Foodbanks facilitates statewide collaboration among Virginia’s food banks, partners and neighbors to improve nutrition security and empower strong, healthy communities.
