This morning was cold.  Frosty even in a few locations.  We had a few people report frost around sunrise.  Temps were in the 30s and 40s.

Temps This Morning

Yesterday, we pulled down some colder air from the northeast states. We had breezy north winds as high pressure built in from the west.  Now today the high pressure system is sitting overhead.  So we had clear skies, light winds, and very dry air this morning.

Through the day the high will slide east.  This will let the winds develop out of the south.  We’ll also have widespread strong sunshine.  So high temperatures will do what I call bounce.  They will rise all the way up to the upper 60s to near 70.  When air is very dry it can heat up and cool down more effectively (like a desert).   So dress in layers.  It will be pretty nice out later today.

Late tonight we’ll have increasing moisture and clouds.  So temps won’t fall much.  Lows will be in the upper 50s to near 60.  We’ll have some scattered showers develop after midnight.  We’ll have more scattered rain showers tomorrow.  The higher chances for rain will be in the morning through the early afternoon. Then the rain showers should slip south from the late afternoon into the evening.  High temps will be in the low 70s.  A cool front will move through late in the day, and that will help to dry things out.  On Sunday, behind the front, we’ll be much cooler and drier.  Highs will be in the upper 50s.  Next week we’ll actually have quiet weather (gasp!)  It’s true.  At this point it looks like it will be cool and quiet for 5 days in a row.  Highs will mainly in the 60s with fair skies.  Stay tuned for updates.

Have a good weekend!
