CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Two 7-Eleven stores in Chesapeake were robbed within minutes of each other overnight Monday, police say.
Chesapeake police said the first robbery was reported just after 1 a.m. at the 7-Eleven on Canal Drive. Two armed suspects wearing masks and gloves stole cash, cigarettes, and lottery scratch tickets before fleeing the scene, police said.
Officers were called to the second robbery at 1:30 a.m. at the location on Eden Way N. In this case, two armed suspects wearing masks took cigarettes and cash.
Police said it is unknown whether the two incidents are related.
