VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Just over three months since he stepped down as mayor of Virginia Beach, Will Sessoms is returning to work at TowneBank.
Sessoms, who in the past served as the president of the bank’s Virginia Beach operation, has accepted a full time position managing resort properties. He’ll start on August 1, according to TowneBank.
“I considered a number of opportunities in the public and private sectors but was very intrigued at the opportunity to help Towne grow its vacation property management business,” said Sessoms in a press release Friday.
Sessoms was at TowneBank from Feburary 2005 to December 2014, until he resigned from the bank after being accused of conflict of interest. He pleaded no contest to the charge in 2015.
