CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Local authorities executed search warrants on three separate homes in Chesapeake on Tuesday as part of a narcotics investigation.
A police spokesperson said all three homes were in the 1400 block of Martin Avenue. The Chesapeake Police Department’s Special Investigations Section, SWAT team and Virginia State Police took part in the raids.
Detectives say they recovered three firearms and marijuana from one of the homes and arrested Dquan Griffin, 23, of the 1400 block of Martin Ave.
He was charged with possession of ammunition by a convicted felon. A female at the home was also issued three summonses by animal services after police say she had no proof of a rabies vaccination, no city license, and failed to provide adequate shelter for her dog.
No injuries were reported and police say they’re conducting interviews as the investigation continues.
