VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Haynes Furniture is encouraging people to make a donation to the United Way’s Virginia Beach Tragedy Fund. Anyone who visits one of the four Haynes locations and donates to the fund will receive a free special t-shirt to show support for the victims’ families.
“It’s a core part of our mission to support and give back to our community.” said E.J. Strelitz, CEO of Haynes Furniture. “More importantly, Virginia Beach is our family’s home and company’s headquarters. It’s where hundreds of our employees and their families live, as well.”
The blue t-shirts have the symbol of a heart and the words “Love for VB” and the front. On the back of the shirt, it reads “VB Strong.” A company spokesperson said the shirts will be available at the showrooms by Tuesday night.
