SCHEDULE: Some weekday morning availability REQUIRED
WANTED: Hard-working interns for the innovative HAMPTON ROADS SHOW on WAVY-TV. You must be interested in new trends, local happenings, entertainment, lifestyle, cooking, technology, and FUN.
During this internship, you will:
- Gain an understanding of the time and planning that goes into creating a one-hour, daily television show by attending post-show meetings, greeting and helping situate guests, helping with set-up and clean-up, etc.
- Assist in segment planning and shoots, greeting guests, prop setup, and adding web content.
- Have opportunities to assist at promotional events.
- Aid producers with writing scripts by proofreading and printing scripts and run downs, confirming guests’ names and spelling, researching business information, etc.
- Other potential duties include: assist in technical aspects such as running prompter, and logging footage for use in the show.
Applicants must have: 1. Ability to work weekday mornings required 2. Computer and social media skills 3. Good communication, multi-tasking skills 4. Work well under pressure 5. Positive attitude and enthusiasm for learning
