Raven Payne joined the WAVY 10 News team in January 2023 as a multimedia journalist and reporter.
She comes to Hampton Roads from Tempe, Arizona where she just received her bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University – Go Sun Devils!
During her time at Arizona State, Raven reported and anchored for her school’s professional program, Cronkite News.
She earned an Emmy nomination and a William Hearst TV semi-finalist award for her coverage on the homelessness epidemic in Phoenix and the plight of Downwinders in Arizona.
Raven originally hails from San Antonio, Texas where she got her start in journalism anchoring and reporting for her high school’s morning broadcast show, BTV.
In her free time Raven enjoys working out, watching crime shows, exploring new areas, and enabling her shopping addiction.
