After a wild week of temperatures – with some highs near 90 on Monday and 60s on Friday, we’ll continue a cooler stretch of weather as we head into the weekend.
This morning, a few showers will be possible. It will look rather cloudy and damp – but I don’t think rainfall totals will be too impressive. Don’t cancel any Saturday plans. Highs on Saturday will be in the 60s. We should see some sun by late afternoon and into the evening.
We’ll be cool on Sunday thanks to some clouds and rain showers. Highs will only be in the mid to upper 50s. You’ll wake up to mostly cloudy skies. Some scattered showers will move in during the late morning and early afternoon – a little earlier for those to in Suffok, Franklin and Hertford as the rain will be coming out of central NC and moving NE. These rain showers will set us up for a damp evening, especially across Southside and NE NC. Rain should taper off overnight.
We’ll dry out on Monday, with temps in the 60s. We’ll warm to the 70s by as we head towards Wednesday, but much of next week looks to be below our average of 72°F for this time of the year. There are indications that upper 70s and 80s will return next weekend.
Hope you have a great weekend!
