As my internship comes to an end, I have started to work on my final project for the semester. My final project is a resume reel. The reel is going to contain a couple of clips from the segments I have shot while reading Symone’s scripts for her What’s Happening in Hampton Roads. I also for two of the segments, wrote my own scripts to read. Each time I get in front of the monitor to read, I get more relaxed and comfortable.
Last Wednesday, I shot two segments. The first one, I read really fast and could feel my heart beating fast as well. The seconds run through I took a deep breath before and truly felt more calm and relaxed. My last run through, I read with no word mess ups and was very calm, read at a good pace, and felt comfortable with reading in front of the monitor.
My resume reel will be sent out to future employers in the next year as I search for jobs (which is crazy to think about)! My reel will be uploaded to YouTube. This will make it easier to embed my reel into my own website with my name as the URL. I already have my own URL www.sydneyjaxtheimer.com, but it is in the process of being worked on and redesigned.
In the future, this website will have my reel, script examples, writing samples, camera work, and all the topicals I have produced throughout this summer. I am anxious to get my website up and running and be able to showcase all my hard work.
