PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Well, friends, this is the blog post I had hoped I would never have to make, but as inevitability would have it, it is time to say goodbye. As I type out this final intern blog, I wonder if there is anything I could say about this experience that I haven’t already said.

From the lights turning on and being excited about the things that were to come, to being thrown into the fire and getting a full-blast taste of this experience. Then at the halfway point, we had a crossover to the other fields here, and then hoping from all the things I have done here, that I have left a legacy.

I cannot be thankful enough for Stephanie to allow me to come in and allow me to partake in this experience. I am also thankful for Craig, James, and Brian (or Parsons as I often call him) for everything they have done with and for me. They have all played a role in making me a better sportscaster and showing me how to always stay relevant in my field.

Further, I also want to thank Kenisha, Jane, Jimmy, Kristi, Phillip, Bob, Mike, and any other names that I may have forgotten for showing me what it is like in their fields, and allowing me to gain knowledge and experience in it, should I ever need it in the future.

And to all of you who have followed this experience since my first blog post, I just want to say thank you all for being my friends.

Even though our time together has now come to an end, and I am giving my final account of my experience, I still want all of you to know and to remember …

I’ve still got work to do.
