PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Now that it’s March, I am proud to say that we’ve finally hit the midpoint of the duration of my exciting internship here at WAVY-TV 10.

The most exciting update I can share since my last intern blog is that I’ve since submitted my project proposal to my internship coordinator. For some context, each intern is required to come up with their own project to be presented by the end of their internship. With this in mind, I sat down briefly with Mike Booth and Antonio Jones to discuss and brainstorm about what I should create as a ‘magnum opus’ for my time here at WAVY. We came to the decision of creating a brief 15-second spot for an upcoming event that will be taking place in May. Ideally, we would have the spot ready to go two weeks in advance. I hope everything goes well!

I was also tasked with the opportunity of holding a boom mic for a recent video shoot. My forearms have never felt a more intense workout.

Next week, I’ll be shadowing more departments at WAVY in hopes of completing my intern checklist sooner rather than later. Take care everyone!
