We’ve seen minor tidal flooding over the past few tide cycles. That will continue today and that minor tidal flooding will likely continue through Wednesday with some moderate tidal flooding in the upper part of the James/York rivers and along the western/bayside of the Eastern Shore.
As a backdoor cool front drops in Sunday, an isolated shower or two is possible. We’ll see mostly cloudy skies through much of the day. Highs should be in the upper 70s.
For Monday, quiet weather continues. Just a degree or two cooler with highs in the mid to upper 70s. For Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, there’s a slight chance of rain each day with highs in the upper 70s.
In the tropics, a system is likely to take shape in the Gulf of Mexico this week. You’ll notice the GFS and the Euro both have a system in the east/NE part of the Gulf of Mexico by Thursday -with different strengths. The GFS is stronger, the Euro weaker.
Depending on the track, some remnants of this system (rain/wind/waves) could move into our area late next weekend, but it’s too early for specifics.
Hope you have a great Sunday!
