Blog: Temps bounce back today.

Yesterday, we did have some cooler temperatures in the region as expected. A cold front had sunk just to our south and stalled out. We had a cool northeast breeze through the day. So high temps were in the upper 60s to low 70s.

High Temperatures Yesterday

Today that same boundary is going to lift north as a warm front.

Regional Weather Map

We’ll have increasing clouds and increasing moisture. There may be enough moisture for some isolated showers later today. Despite the clouds and spotty showers we will should still be able to warm up quite a bit. Temps started in the 50s and 60s this morning. We’ll rise up to near 80 this afternoon.

Temperature Forecast

We’ll have a south wind at about 8-12mph. Tomorrow we’ll clear out some of the clouds. We’ll be partly cloudy. However, a cool front will move in from the west. So temperatures tomorrow will rise to the upper 70s during the early afternoon. Then they might drop a bit later in the day.

Forecast Temps Tomorrow

We may have a stray shower or two as the front passes, but the chance is very low. Winds will turn from southwest to northerly.

The front will sink to the southeast some more on Friday. High temps will only be in the upper 60s (which is really just below average). It should be a nice day actually. Skies will be partly cloudy. We’ll be near 70 on Saturday with a mix of sun and clouds. There may be some isolated showers in the afternoon. Then on Sunday we’ll cool down again to the 60s.

Temperature Trend

We’ll be mostly cloudy with a few pm showers. There may be even more rain Sunday night into Monday but we’ll see.

The forecast is still a bit tricky due to all the fronts swinging through the region. So we’ll have to kind of take the forecast one day at a time for a little bit.

The weather was pretty bad again over parts of the Midwest. There were multiple severe storms and tornadoes there yesterday. Here is an article with more information on that: Midwest tornadoes and severe storms.

There was also some severe weather overseas that made headlines. 10 inches of rainfall fell recently over parts of the United Arab Emirates. In Oman at least 10 people have died from flooding. Here is the article with more information: Severe Flooding UAE.
