A beautiful summer weekend is in store for Hampton Roads! Saturday wil be warm and dry, and most of Sunday will be too before some late day showers and storms.

For Saturday, we’ll have mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will be in the mid 80s but the humidity won’t be horrible, so it won’t feel that much warmer. Still, with lots of sunshine, it’ll certainly be a nice warm June day.

Summer humidity will make a return on Sunday with high temperatures in the upper 80s. Some passing clouds mix in by the afternoon with a few chances for rain late. The best chances will be in the evening hours. A storm or two can’t be ruled out, with some heavy rain in spots.

The front helping to produce these showers and storms moves through overnight. Showers will likely linger into NE NC and the OBX through daybreak Monday, before partly sunny skies return Monday afternoon.

Rain chances for Tuesday are a little uncertain. I do think there could be a few showers, but not sold on a big area of low pressure developing yet like the Euro shows (map below). The GFS is dry, but the ensembles to show some showers. Which leads me to think we’ll have a little rain at least. Stay tuned for updates. Temperatures remain in the 80s

Hope you have a great weekend!
