(WAVY) — For the 11 p.m. update from the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Depression Four has developed in the region near Cuba. This storm is expected to make a northwest push into the eastern Gulf of Mexico. During this time, it could get stronger and become a strong tropical storm.
At this point, its way too early to know the impacts of what the storm might bring, but we can start to think about the possibilities.
Usually storms that come up the coast from the Florida coast region are not the big storms. Tropical systems like Isabel came in from the southeast directly towards North Carolina and Virginia. This is coming from the southwest and hopefully won’t have time to strengthen. The changes for the Friday evening update show a storm that could slow down, so Thursday-ish might be the time we see the impacts from Debby.
