NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — No bike? No problem!
The Pace bikes are rolling back into the streets of Norfolk on Friday.
The City of Norfolk says the public, rideshare program got an overhaul during the bikes’ “hibernation.” There will be new features and new pricing options this year.
Last year, nearly 12,000 citizens utilized the Pace bikes and took over 45,000 rides throughout Norfolk.
The program launched in April of last year with 150 bikes and 15 stations. Now, the city says they have 200 bikes in their fleet and 39 stations for you to grab one from.
There will be a special, group ride on Friday at noon to celebrate the return of the Pace bikes. It will start at the Norfolk City Hall Civic Plaza. Register for it here.
Remember, you must download the Pace app to use one of the bikes.
