NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Hundreds of Norfolk’s youngest residents had a special visit from the Norfolk Police Department on Saturday as officers brought holiday cheer in the form of gifts with the help of the Ricky Johnson Foundation.
The police department said this was the third year Norfolk officers have treated children living in Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority communities to bicycles, games and stuffed animals.
Started in Richmond in 2006, the Ricky Johnson and Friends Foundation seeks to help children and their communities through charitable giving, mentoring and other opportunities. To learn more about the foundation, click here.
