The United States General Elections are being held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. During this presidential election year, the president and vice president will be elected, along with state and local races. There is a proposed constitutional amendment on Virginia ballots, and one local referendum in Chesapeake, on the subject of recycling.
Early voting in Virginia began on Friday, Sept. 20 and in North Carolina on Thursday, Oct. 17. Polls are open on November 5 in Virginia from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. and in North Carolina from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
