In his latest video “We Gave Every Family in a Village a Full Year’s Salary,” the Greenville resident and the world’s top YouTuber, partnered with Give Directly, went to rural Uganda in Africa and gave money to people living in remote villages.
MrBeast changes 600 people’s lives with a simple mode of transportation
One of the villagers, a man named Paul, who lives with his family in a straw-roofed hut, said his family eats once a day, at dinner time.

These villagers live in extreme poverty. According to MrBeast, they live on as little as $1 or $2 per day, battle hunger and a lack of resources for education.

The money was put into an account linked to cell phones that were given to the villagers. It was put to use in different ways by different people, including buying land for their own farms, establishing a pharmacy, a school, a grain mill, a refilling station and homes for thousands of families.

Hundreds of children were also able to go to school with contributions as their parents could afford to pay the school fees and buy uniforms.
