PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – It was one of the most fun shows we have done all year! It was our Clear the Shelters edition!
Animal shelters across the country are coming together tomorrow — Aug.18 for this nationwide pet adoption initiative that aims to connect animals in need with loving new families. This year’s event here in Hampton Roads comes after last year’s highly successful effort.
It’s an unprecedented partnership between NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations, NBC Affiliates like us here at WAVY-TV and more than 700 animal shelters located all across the country and in Puerto Rico.
We couldn’t do it without the help of local partners who value the work of our local shelters — and you’ll hear from our friends at Stihl and Priority and Tidewater Community College.
