PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Empty Bowls Virginia Peninsula was a concept that started from two art teachers in Michigan having their students create ceramic bowls for a fundraiser for soup kitchens and local foodbanks. It is now a nonprofit organization that fights against hunger and food insecurity worldwide.
