PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — 2,000 lbs. of French fries up for grabs! That is one of the many highlights of the upcoming North Carolina Potato Festival. In this Community Connection, Tara Wheeler chats with event director Deborah Malenfant about everything the event has to offer at this spud spectacle!
If you are interested in attending the event, it is happening May 17-19 in downtown Elizabeth City, with the opening ceremony kicking off Friday at 5:30 p.m. at Mariner’s Wharf Park.
