PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – First responders in Suffolk are hosting a friendly competition in the form of a blood drive. There’s a shortage in the blood supply and the Suffolk Sheriff’s Office, Suffolk Police Department and Suffolk Fire & Rescue are trying to drum up donations. Sheriff David Miles of the Suffolk Sheriff’s Office shared the details in today’s Community Connection.
