PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Newport News is planning for their future and city leaders are asking for the public’s input about what comes next. They’re hosting several community outreach events to get people involved. Brian Swets and Michael Taylor with the City of Newport News joined HRS with the details.

The housing symposium is this Saturday, Oct. 26 from noon to 4 p.m. in the Gaines Theater at Christopher Newport University. It’s a one-stop shop for all your housing questions including homeownership and mortgage options.
There are two visioning open houses Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Brittingham Midtown Community Center or Wednesday, Oct. 30 at Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center.
