PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Now is the best time of year to visit the Outer Banks of North Carolina. While you are there, stop by mile post 9.5 and say hello to Richard Bruce and Top Palmer from Pigman’s Bar-B-Que in Kill Devil Hills.
Richard and Top took over our kitchen on The Hampton Roads Show and made an incredible Pigman’s Breakfast Bake. They also previewed the upcoming Beach Food Pantry 5th Annual Chefs Challenge.
Chefs from across the OBX will compete for the title of “Crown Prince/Princess of Canned Goods.” Each chef has 60 minutes to cook a dish using item(s) that the Beach Food Pantry would normally keep in stock. One of the items used must be a canned good.
Attendees and a three-judge panel vote for their favorite dishes. General Admission tickets are $75 and include event entrance, chefs creations, heavy hors d’oeurves and open bar. VIP tickets are $100 and include first look vip reception.
