Hampton Flea Market
July 27, 12-6 p.m., Power Plant Hampton Roads, 1976 Power Plant Parkway
A new monthly flea market begins this weekend. It will operate on the last Saturday of each month. There will be indoor and outdoor features including 80 local vendors. There will be a variety of vintage finds, artistic creations and more.
Norfolk
Victory Over Violence 2K Fun Walk
Saturday, July 27 starts at 10 a.m. at Purpose Park Lot, 801 Church Street
Community 1st and S.A.G. are hosting this 2K Fun Walk. The community event is dedicated to seniors and promoting unity in our neighborhoods. According to the event, “it’s an opportunity to stand together against violence and celebrate our commitment to creating safer, more resilient communities.” Participants can register online or in-person starting at 9:30 a.m. Each person is encouraged to bring a senior, family, friends and neighbors. The first wave begins at 10 a.m. and the second begins at 10:30 a.m.
IgNITE: JULY-O-WEEN (21+)
Friday, July 26 from 7 – 10 p.m. at the Chrysler Museum of Art
Dress up and get ready for a wild night at the museum. There will be music, dancing, magic and mischief. Tickets are required. Costumes are encouraged but not required to attend. Click here to register online. The event is for adults 21 and over.
Sunsets on the River: Grateful Jed
Thursday, July 25 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Hermitage Museum and Gardens
After a rain delay, Grateful Jed will perform on Thursday night. The Grateful Dead Cover Band will play right be river. Food trucks will be on-site with food and beverages for purchase. Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets, non-alcoholic beverages and food. No outside alcohol or ball sports are allowed on the grounds. Tickets are required for non-members and for guests over the age of 10. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The music begins at 6 p.m.
Suffolk
TGIF Summer Concert Series: The Deloreans
Friday, July 26 from 6-9:30 p.m. at Bennetts Creek Park, 3000 Bennetts Creek Park Rd.
After a rain delay, The Deloreans will perform. The fun starts at 6 p.m. and the band starts at 6:30 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Next week, Roberta Lea will perform on Aug. 2. The concerts are free and open to the public.
Virginia Beach
Artist’s Block at Virginia MOCA
Friday, July 26th from 6-10 p.m. at Virginia MOCA
Get ready for a pop-up experience curated by Virginia artist Jeff Tarkenton. It will showcase works from Virginia artists. There will be live music and food. Enjoy the block party event with over 15 artists. The Coop and Moon Tide Sundries food trucks will be on-site. There will also be Fathom Coffee and Commonwealth Brewing Co. Operation Smile’s “A Flavor of Street Food” festival and market
Saturday, July 27 from 3-8 p.m. at Operation Smile’s Virginia Beach Headquarters, 3641 Faculty Blvd.
Operation Smile and Mabuhay 757 are hosting a festival and market this weekend. It will offer a variety of Filipino street food and showcase over 40 Filipino-owned businesses. Try vendors like Aloho VB Shave Ice, Ube Mochi Art, House of Lumpia and more. The event is free and open to the public.
