PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Country singer Parker McCollum’s show scheduled for Thursday night at the Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion in Portsmouth has been postponed.

The “Pretty Heart” and “”Handle on You” singer says his doctor has put him on vocal rest.

“It’s with a truly heavy heart that I have to announce we are having to postpone our show for Thursday in Portsmouth, VA,” McCollum said. “Been having such a damn good time with you all during this tour and I want to keep giving that stage everything I’ve got every night. My doctor has had me on vocal rest the past few days and one more day of rest should mean I’ll be ready to sing by Friday.”

The Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion says its still working on a new date for the show, and all tickets purchased via Ticketmaster will be valid for the new show.
