ISLE OF WIGHT, Va. (WAVY) — An 18-year-old Carrollton man was arrested Monday on suspicion of having thousands of images child pornography.
Lt. Tommy Potter says a preliminary investigation shows that multiple electronic devices taken from Connor Houlihan’s home in the 2200 block of Heron Watch Court may contain more than 5,000 images of child porn.
Isle of Wight authorities began investigating after the Virginia Sheriff’s Office Southern Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, headed by the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, was tipped to the alleged crimes by the social media platform Flicker.
The collected devices are in the process of being forensically examined, authorities say.
Houlihan has been charged with 1 count of possession of child pornography and 15 counts of second offense possession of child pornography. He’s in the Western Tidewater Regional Jail without bond.
