NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Two adults and one child are without a home after a fire damaged their house in the Ingleside area on Saturday. 

Norfolk Fire and Rescue crews say they were called to the fire in the 3500 block of Karlin Avenue just before 10 p.m.

Firefighters arrived at the single-story home within minutes of the call and found the residents had safely escaped with no injuries.  

The fire was determined to be in the attached garage of the home and firefighters were able to bring it under control at 10:24 p.m., officials say. 

The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
