NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Two illegal aliens from Mexico have been sentenced for dealing methamphetamine in Norfolk.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said 23-year-old Jaime Sanchez-Huerta — aka “Carlos Slim” — and 34-year-old Alejandro Rodriguez-Vargas pleaded guilty last year to multiple charges related to the crime.

Sanchez-Huerta received 12 years and four months in prison on Tuesday and Rodriguez-Vargas was sentenced to 10 years on Feb. 16.

Sanchez-Huerta was arrested on April 25, 2017, while he was on his way to a drug deal in Norfolk, according to court documents. Police found a loaded .45 caliber handgun on him, and $4,000 in cash, 4.5 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, digital scales and a box of .45 caliber ammunition while searching his vehicle and hotel room.

The next day, police search another hotel room tied to Sanchez-Huerta and found Rodriguez-Vargas, who was in possession of 137 grams of methamphetamine. Rodriguez-Vargas has been deported at least three times and has been convicted for an aggravated felony in Arizona in 2013, according to court documents.

Prosecutors say both men will be deported at the end of their sentences.
