NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk police are investigating shootings that happened Thursday morning.

Dispatch told WAVY.com officers were called to Greenbriar Avenue near Naval Station Norfolk just after midnight, where they found a 28-year-old man shot. His injury was not considered life-threatening.

Around 12:05 a.m., police were called to Fenner Street, off Tidewater Drive, for a reported gunshot disturbance.

While responding, police were notified of a 28-year-old woman who showed up to DePaul Medical Center with a gunshot wound. Her injury was not considered life-threatening.

Police said an investigation found she was shot by someone while standing outside on Fenner Street.

The shootings in Norfolk came as police in Virginia Beach investigated shootings near the Oceanfront that left six people injured.
