UPDATE July 21, 2020: Tre’von Barron Barbarji was sentenced to six years with five years and seven months suspended on July 20, 2020. He will serve 5 months in total. He had pleaded guilty to his charges in September.

Dale Jackson pleaded guilty to two charges received a three-month sentence on Feb 17, 2020.

Kierein Simpson had his charges dismissed on July 17, 2020.


WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — Police say three men and a juvenile are facing charges in connection to an attempted armed burglary in Williamsburg.

In a news release, Williamsburg Police said officers responded to the 100 block of Adams Street the night of April 15 for a report that a group of suspicious males were seen exiting a vehicle. One of the males was reportedly armed with a gun.

Police said officers made contact with the suspects, and found they were in the process of committing an armed burglary of a home in the area.

Officers found two firearms that were used in the alleged crime, police said.

Police arrested 21-year-old Kierien Thomas Blige Simpson, 19-year-old Tre’von Barron Barbarji, 18-year-old Dale Russell Jackson, a 17-year-old male.

All four suspects are charged with attempted armed burglary, conspiracy to commit armed burglary, and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Police said Simpson, Barbarji and Jackson are being held at Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail without bond. The 17-year-old was taken to Merrimac Juvenile Detention Center.
