NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A 63-year-old Newport News man is in life-threatening condition after he was hit by a car in the parking lot of Wendy’s on Wednesday.
According to Newport News police, they received an emergency call about the accident just before noon and responded to the 15400 block of Warwick Boulevard.
The victim was transported to a local hospital and police say the driver of the car that hit the man remained at the scene.
Police say the driver was a 67-year-old woman from Hampton. She was driving a 2010 Nissan Sentra.
The accident is still under investigation.
