NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — An 8-year-old boy who was riding a bicycle in Norfolk over the weekend was hit by a car, police say.
Norfolk Police said officers were dispatched to E. Brambleton Avenue and Landing Street for a crash involving a pedestrian around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, April 7.
Police said the child’s injuries were not life-threatening. He was taken to Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters for treatment.
The driver stayed on scene following the incident, police said. It’s unclear whether any charges were filed.
