GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Around 20 to 25 people were hospitalized after a carbon monoxide leak at a medical facility in Goochland County Tuesday morning.
According to the Goochland County Fire Department, just before 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, crews responded to a medical building on the 1600 block of Wilkes Ridge Drive that was partially occupied and partially under construction for a report of a carbon monoxide leak.
When they got to the scene, the crews found around 20 to 25 people complaining of headaches and nausea consistent with carbon monoxide exposure. The patients were taken to local hospitals and they are all in non-life-threatening condition at this time.
