VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) –  The woman found dead in a home on Five Forks Road Monday has been identified as 75-year-old Marlene Tooke Woltz.

Police say 73-year-old Richard Wayne Woltz has been charged with second-degree murder. He is currently being held by the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office. But police have not confirmed who he is charged with killing.

Emergency dispatchers received a call requesting medical assistance in the 1700 block of Five Forks Road around 8:30 a.m. Monday and found Marlene Woltz dead inside the home. Her husband, Richard, was suffering from serious injuries and taken to the hospital. Police charged him and booked him into the Virginia Beach City Jail late Thursday night.

A neighbor and friend told WAVY.com the couple had no children and lived in the home alone. She also stated that Marlene’s health had been rapidly declining.

Police have not released what kind of injuries either of the victims suffered from or any other details at this time.
