PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — If you’re a Bon Secours patient you can now access your medical records right on your iPhone.

The hospital system announced Monday that it now supports health records on iPhone.

So now you can see information all in one place on things like allergies, immunizations, lab results medical conditions and more.

“We are excited to offer our patients another convenient way to access their medical information,” said Laishy Williams-Carlson, chief information officer at Bon Secours Mercy Health. “This innovative technology will empower patients to make better, informed decisions about their health and enhance engagement between patients and their care providers.”

Here’s how to set it up:

  • Go to the Apple Health app, it’s the white box with the red heart.
  • Search for Bon Secours Health System, and then log in with your MyChart account username and password.
  • After you log in once, your health records will start to appear in the Apple Health app, and you will be notified when new records are available.

Apple says Health Records data is encrypted and protected with the user’s iPhone passcode, Touch ID or Face ID.

If you do not have a free MyChart account, visit Bon Secours to enroll.
