Bon Secours partners with Apple for mobile medical records

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — If you’re a Bon Secours patient you can now access your medical records right on your iPhone.

The hospital system announced Monday that it now supports health records on iPhone.


So now you can see information all in one place on things like allergies, immunizations, lab results medical conditions and more.

“We are excited to offer our patients another convenient way to access their medical information,” said Laishy Williams-Carlson, chief information officer at Bon Secours Mercy Health. “This innovative technology will empower patients to make better, informed decisions about their health and enhance engagement between patients and their care providers.”

Here’s how to set it up: 

Apple says Health Records data is encrypted and protected with the user’s iPhone passcode, Touch ID or Face ID.
